One of the latest nice® product offerings is nicemate™ which will enable plenty of new features within your nice® system.
nicemate™ is a small, light-weight, powerful multi-tasking unit with a cellular GSM/3G connection which allows secured data exchange with the nice® system on your aircraft. In addition, nicemate™ provides WLAN/WiFi and several other useful interfaces.
It can host multiple simultaneously running IFE & CMS applications on the nice® system network such as automated cabin diagnostics, remote support, an iPhone wireless gateway and even a 2D-moving map solution.
nicemate™ cabin diagnostics
nicemate™ continually monitors and logs status messages (BITE) from all components within the nice® system network.
Once the aircraft lands, nicemate™ will establish a secured 3G broadband connection and automatically transmit flight logs to Customer Service Innovation (CSI).
If there are any malfunctions on the network, CSI will be automatically flagged and a proactive maintenance action will ensue. Additionally, aircraft owners and their engineering can always see the latest diagnostics results on a custom-tailored web portal 'my.nice-system.com'.
nicemate™ remote support
The secured GSM/3G broadband connection will always enable engineering personnel to receive support from Lufthansa Technik’s Customer Service Innovation (CSI), independent of the aircraft’s current location. Thus, CSI can assist during installations or trouble-shooting without being on-site.
nice® remote
nicemate™ will host a gateway application that will serve as connection between certain handheld products (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) and the nice® in-flight-entertainment and cabin management system. It will enable users to conveniently control the nice® system with their fingertips.
